This is where we explain openly how GentelBot works — what the technology can do, and what it cannot.
AI in trading attracts a lot of bold claims and even more questions. How is a forecast actually produced? Which data goes into it? Who decides whether an order is placed — and what happens when the market does the opposite of what was expected? These are the questions we hear every day.
This hub is where we answer them. You will find a straightforward description of the technology, an explanation of the multi-dimensional forecast space, notes on risks and limitations and a growing library of questions and answers — updated with whatever readers send us.
Can't find your question? Use the form to reach our team directly. We reply personally, in plain language and without any sales pressure.
Historical ranges — for context, not as an expectation.
These figures describe the past under favourable conditions. They say nothing binding about future results, and losses are possible at any time.
To understand how the system works, it helps to look at its four building blocks — each one has a clearly defined job.
Weighs assessments, compares options and decides whether an order makes sense.
Links the system to more than 1,000 sources from exchanges, central banks, media and blockchains.
Maps hundreds of factors together and compares today's situation with earlier ones.
Executes approved signals — with position size and protection set in advance.
A clear visual introduction: how data from more than 1,000 sources is analysed, combined in a multi-dimensional forecast space and only acted on when the probability is high. A good starting point before reading the Q&A.
One question comes up again and again: can I see why the system acted? Yes. For every position the log records which data sources were used, the probability attached to the forecast, the protection that was set in advance and the reason the position was opened, adjusted or closed. Every decision can be reviewed after the fact.
What actually happens between a headline appearing and an order being placed? We walk through the path the data takes, step by step.
It starts with data — a great deal of it. GentelBot continuously processes information from more than 1,000 sources: prices and order books from exchanges such as the London Stock Exchange and the NYSE, exchange rates, commodity and crypto prices, company announcements, decisions by the Bank of England, the ECB and the Fed, economic indicators, and news and sentiment on social media. Before any of it is used, it is checked, given a precise timestamp and put on a common scale so the values can be compared at all.
The prepared signals are then combined in what we call a multi-dimensional forecast space. Picture a map with hundreds of axes, each one standing for a factor such as interest rates, momentum or the tone of the news. The system searches this map for situations that resemble earlier market conditions and estimates how likely certain price moves are. Only assessments with a high probability and an acceptable level of risk are even considered for an order.
Data from more than 1,000 sources arrives continuously.
Faulty values are discarded and the rest is precisely time-aligned.
All factors are mapped into one shared forecast space.
The probability of possible moves is calculated for every asset.
Only well-rated signals are executed — within fixed limits.
Worth remembering: a forecast is a probability, not a promise. Even a well-founded assessment can turn out to be wrong.
Three questions we are asked particularly often.
A simple program follows fixed rules such as “buy when the price rises above X”. GentelBot assesses many markets at once, compares several possible actions and adjusts its view as soon as new information arrives.
Shares, currencies, commodities and crypto assets influence one another. Looking at them together reveals connections that stay hidden when each is viewed in isolation — and lets risk be spread more widely.
Yes. GentelBot is backed by a team that answers questions, helps with set-up and explains how the settings and risk limits work — on weekdays during UK business hours.
Examples of assets included in the analysis — from leading UK shares to international markets.
Companies working on artificial intelligence — from the US tech giants to UK names such as Arm — are constantly in the spotlight of news outlets, analysts and investors. That creates an especially dense stream of data, which is exactly where machine analysis comes into its own.
The rule of thumb: the more reliable data there is, the better an assessment can be justified.
A simplified twelve-month simulation — it shows the logic, not a guaranteed outcome.
Capital was divided between UK and US shares, commodities and crypto assets and rebalanced whenever the assessments changed.
Only assessments above a fixed probability threshold were considered, each with protection defined in advance.
Limits that are applied consistently matter at least as much as the quality of the forecast itself.

GentelBot is an AI-assisted system that analyses market data from more than 1,000 sources, derives probabilities for price movements and — if you set it up that way — automatically executes orders within defined risk limits. This hub exists to explain the technology clearly and to answer questions about it.
Conventional bots follow rigid if-then rules. GentelBot looks at many factors and markets at the same time, compares several options and continually adjusts its assessments as new data comes in.
Every factor analysed — interest rates, momentum or the news backdrop, for example — forms one dimension. Together they create a space with hundreds of dimensions in which the system compares the current situation with earlier ones. This reveals connections that a single chart cannot show.
Among others: exchange prices and order books, exchange rates, commodity and crypto prices, company reports, central-bank decisions, economic data, and news and public sentiment — more than 1,000 sources in total.
Depending on your settings: shares and indices, currency pairs, commodities such as gold or oil and the major cryptocurrencies. You decide which of these are used.
Each assessment receives a probability rating, and only signals above a high threshold are taken into account. Even so, every forecast remains a probability — mistakes do happen.
Yes. Trading on financial markets always involves risk, up to and including the loss of all the capital invested. Risk limits can reduce losses but cannot rule them out.
No. All figures on this site are historical or simulated and are for illustration only. They do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about future results.
No, although a basic understanding of the opportunities and risks of financial markets is sensible. Our team explains the settings in detail before you start.
